Policy and Agreements
To book an appointment at Studio, a 20% deposit is required and for the on-site appointment, a travel fee payment is required to secure the date. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable if cancelled within 48 hour time frame. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a deposit is received.
The contract will contain a start time. Each makeup requires a certain length of time to be finished and is not to exceed the time limit. When reserving your date, book accordingly. Any additional makeup needs outside the contract will only be performed at the discretion of the makeup artist. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract. All makeup applications for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive in time (no gaps in between).
DOUBLE BOOKING CLAUSE
Due to potential scheduling conflicts, if any person is not present for an appointed booking time, then his or her makeup may be canceled (at the sole discretion of the makeup artist) and all deposit monies are non-refundable.
CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND CONTROL
The makeup artist’s obligation to provide services hereunder is subject to change and/or unavailability of the artist as a result of sickness, accident, the act of God, and other reasons beyond the makeup artist's control.
All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Should a reaction occur, requiring medical attention or not, it is agreed that the makeup artist is not legally liable or responsible for injury and/or ailment of any kind.
Makeup artist reserves the right to cancel the agreement at any time for overly rude, or obnoxious behavior from any clients. Any behavior thought to be overly rude will merit a warning; any further rude comments will result in termination of service at no expense of Manda Makeover. But not to worry- the makeup artist is very open-minded and will do her best to deliver the client’s expectations.
Makeup will be completed to the client’s satisfaction but is not to exceed the allotted makeup time. Ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Acceptance of completed makeup application by the client is an acknowledgment that makeup is done to his / her satisfaction. The makeup artist will not be held responsible for unfinished makeup/hair due to late clients or for suggestive unrealistic expectations. Unrealistic expectation example: A client provides a photo of a model with significantly different hair color, length, texture, skin tone, and eye color, etc–Reasonable effort will be made to get as close to the overall looks as possible.
USE OF WORK PRODUCT
Client authorizes the full use of photographs taken before and after makeup services provided by Manda Makeover as part of Manda Makeover’s portfolios, other media and website. The client’s identity will remain anonymous. Should the Client wishes otherwise, it is agreed that the makeup artist should be informed and the client would be provided a new contract to cancel this clause.
On-site travel fees will act as a down payment to secure the appointment. A $30 travel fee will be charged for the first 5 miles with an additional $2/mile from zip code 94521, California. Where parking, valet and/or toll fees may be incurred, the amount will charged to the room or added to the balance of payment and/or paid by the client and are due on the day of the event.
AIRFARE AND ACCOMMODATIONS
All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by the client. Costs may include but are not limited to airfare, hotel, transportation, parking, per diem, service incidentals, and all taxes.
Payments are to be paid in United States funds the same day after the makeup service has been provided before the makeup artist leaves the makeup site. Only Venmo, Zelle, or cash is accepted. Receipts are available upon request.
